What is a lien?

What if my mortgage company does not have a local branch?

You should call your mortgage company and inform them that you are sending in a check for endorsement. They will then provide you the address of where to mail the check and if any documents are required. RoofClaim will assist you along in this process by scheduling a check pick up, or overnight the check to the mortgage company via FedEx . sRoofClaim will also call the mortgage company throughout this process to make sure everything is going smoothly and will call you to provide you with updates. There are also a few questions you should ask when advising the mortgage company you are sending in a check for endorsement: Does the check need to be endorsed before mailing it in? What documents are required? What is the overnight address? Will an inspection be needed?

How do I file a homeowner's property insurance claim?

First, our field agents will conduct a thorough inspection of your roof to determine if there is storm damage. Once this is confirmed, RoofClaim will determine whether a claim is necessary or not. A roof inspection will take place with a field inspector from your insurance company, then they agree upon an estimate. After the insurance claim has been filed and approved, the roof replacement process will begin. To view more details about the RoofClaim claims process, click here.

What is a deductible?

An insurance deductible is a specified amount of money that the insured must pay before the insurance company will pay the claim. This is the customer's out-of-pocket responsibility. Example: There is $10,000 total worth of damages to your roof. Your deductible is $2,000. You are responsible for paying $2,000 out of pocket. The insurance company will cover the remaining $8,000; but only after you have paid your $2,000 deductible. A deductible can be either a specific dollar amount or a percentage of the total amount of insurance on a policy. The amount is established by the terms of your coverage and can be found on the declarations page of your homeowners policy.

When is my deductible due?

At RoofClaim, the deductible and any other out-of-pocket expenses are due on the day of install.

When will I receive my refund?

You will receive your refund 10 business days after your roof replacement is paid in full. The check will be mailed to you from the corporate office in Atlanta, Georgia.

The insurance company included my interior repair/non-roof money with the check for the roof. When will I get my non-roof money back?

Will checks be made payable to Jasper or RoofClaim?

Checks will be made out to roofclaim.com , the homeowner, and the mortgage company. If made payable to Jasper, no change is required. We will still be able to process the check.

What determines my deductible amount?

The person buying the insurance policy usually makes the decision of how much the deductible is by selecting from a pre-set list of deductible prices determined by your insurance company. The higher the amount of the deductible, the lower the monthly cost of your premium. Speak with your insurance agent about which plan or coverage would best suit your needs.

What happens when your mortgage is listed as a payee on a claim?

When your mortgage company is listed as a payee on the check, they will also have to endorse the check before it is given to the contractor for payment. All payees listed on a check must sign before the payment is considered bankable.
