Why is RoofClaim's estimate more expensive than the other estimates I have received?

RoofClaim goes directly off the insurance company's estimate, as we feel this is the easiest way to make sure we are in agreement as to what is reasonable. In regard to the price which your insurance company agreed, surely there are companies out there who will replace the roof for less; however, they will not warrant their work, are unlicensed, use unlicensed subcontractors, or any combination of the above. Here at RoofClaim, we refuse to do business unethically and illegally, so we are not the cheapest company to do business with, but our work is of high quality and in accordance with legal building codes. Doing business with us also saves you time, eliminates confusion, and reduces stress since we communicate directly with your insurance company.

How does RoofClaim support me in the roof replacement process?

How should I select a contractor?

We always recommend doing your homework before selecting a contractor. Below are some helpful tips to keep in mind: Ask friends and family for references or recommendations. Check licenses to verify the contractors are credible. Each state has different requirements. Be sure to verify with your state contractor board. Ask questions about the specific contractor's process and project timeline. Don't let price be your guide; lowball bids could result in cutting corners. Ask about the warranty and what it consists of specifically. Communication and comfort are extremely important as you will want clear and regular communication throughout your project.

How long does a metal roof last?

A metal roof has an impressive lifespan, typically lasting between 40 and 70 years. This durability is due to the inherent strength and resilience of metal materials. The longevity of a metal roof can vary depending on factors such as the type of metal used (steel, aluminum, copper, or zinc), the quality of installation, climate conditions, and regular maintenance. Properly installed and well-maintained metal roofs can withstand extreme weather conditions, resist corrosion, and provide reliable protection for several decades. The use of protective coatings and finishes further enhances their resistance to environmental factors. With their extended lifespan, metal roofs offer a long-term roofing solution that can provide peace of mind and cost savings over the years.
